Our bar is going to be stocked with candy-infused vodka and only that. Cheap and easy, just the way we like it. Craig and Beth are experimenting (and by experimenting I mean haven’t even started yet) on what infusions work the best together.
For now, here is a list of types of infusions we are thinking about trying. For fear that they will all be in the awful to undrinkable range, Craig and I are going to make a few small batches and see how they work.
Making the physical bar
Craig, Joe and Beth are working on the physical bar-- what with Craig’s experience making a creepy “tiki” bar in his basement/garage, how could we go wrong? Right now the plans are big, with the idea that the bar might be curved and have a sign that lights up to attract drug-addled raver kids. But mostly it will be made from the set of Mercy Ride, because it's cheap. I hope everyone likes cork.
What, Where, When
The bar will be open precisely whenever the fuck we want it to be open. We might make some sort of sign to let people know we are open. But anyone in camp who feels the desire to play bartender can open the bar at any time.
Cost
Okay folks I have been looking at Vodka cost, and basically we can get something that won’t kill the people we serve it to and we might even enjoy it. If we buy it on the internet we can get it up to half the price we would have to pay from the store. So what I’m saying is we might just go ahead and do that so we have time to get it shipped to us. We are still looking at $200-$300 for Vodka, but that was way cheaper then I was originally thinking. Woo!
So the bottles that are 1.750 liters has about 35-40 shots. If someone wants to do the real math they can but for now I’m going to say about 35-40. I would like to be able to give away around 50 shots a day. Which I can’t tell if that is a lot of a little, Thoughts?
So I would like to bring around 400 shots to the playa this year. This is what I like to call “bad” math so… so 10 bottles? Is that right, maybe 12 because they sell them on-line in half cases of 6 bottles.
