Meeting on July 27, 2008

Minutes from the Meeting on Sunday, July 27, before the build party.
In attendance: Lee, Seth, Steve, Joe, Beth, Craig, Joy, Adele, Marty, David, JenyB, Sar, Damien, Kat No agenda for the meeting. Attendees updated everyone on progress of their projects.


Lee:

  • Harley’s mini-truck is registered as an art car. Lee has been storing it at his house. Our camp will be allowed use of the art car.
  • All the hardware for the trailer is ordered. Some of the frame for the box is going on the trailer today.


Seth:

  • I’m coming with you.
  • Seth will build the 2 carts. What’s needed for that is the following:
    • 4 bicycle wheels (ACTION: post to lists that we need 4 bicycle wheels)
    • use of someone’s car in about 2 weeks (ACTION: Beth offered her vehicle).
  • Seth is riding down on his motorcycle. He may need to put a gas can on the trailer. He is bringing safety gear for anyone who wants to ride with him.


Steve:

  • The uncertainty of departure is frustrating.
  • Steve needs a playa bike. He will find one on his own.
  • ACTION: Steve and Joy will talk about coolers.


Joe:

  • Joe is particularly busy right now with work. He anticipates this changing in August, when he will be able to shift his focus onto camp projects. Joe invites people to talk to him then about collaboration.


Beth:

  • Jailbait Décor: the bar will be decorated with pictures of kids’ toys and sex toys.


Craig:

  • Kitchen carport: Craig needs a car to get the carport for the kitchen.
    • ACTION: Craig, Kat, and David will talk about car use to get the carport at Costco.
    • ACTION: Marty has a ski-rack that might work well for the storage and transportation of the carport.
  • Utensils: can the camp please re-visit the utensils and gear sections of the wiki?
  • JenyB: ACTION: bring all your gear to Dry-Run and we will consolidate it and move it to the Storage Space afterwards.
  • Beer kegs: if you want to drink something other than PBR, please look at Kegs-To-Go, find what you’d like, and email Craig with your vote.


Joy:

  • Food: we’re settled on $50 per person at this point. Please get your money to Joy ASAP.
    • If you can’t give Joy money directly and don’t want to mail her a check, please tell Joy (email/phone) and we can set up a Paypal account.
  • Freezer: we need freezer space for the camp food. We’ll check Lee’s freezer today.
  • The travel book from last year was found! It will be updated for this year!
    • ACTION: Joy will email documents from last year’s travel book to JenyB.
  • Johanna is very likely arriving on Thursday.


Adele

  • Adele needs a bike and a ticket.
  • The massage table for he healing center is secured.


Marty:

  • 2 camps have already arranged for us to provide them with over 100 gallons each.
  • The shipping service has had some issues with Paypal lately but they seem to have been worked out.
  • The storage space isn’t secured yet. 2 spaces that were strong potentials turned out to be not usable.


David:

  • David is preparing smoothies for everyone in the camp.


JenyB:

  • JenyB would like the camp to think seriously about how little each of us can get by with for Sunday and Monday. This facilitates our tearing down as much as possible on those days.
  • What’s going on with permits for Dry-Run?


Sar:

  • Can we re-examine the plan to pool funds for gas?
  • Can we re-examine what needs to happen with labels?


Damien:

  • Minty Fresh is totally set.


Kat:

  • Display & Costume is selling solar powered strings of LED lights
